In one of the reports published by the canalys.com which reports Apple is spearing ahead of its competitors in the Smart mobile device market .At present Apple is placed at number 3 and giving worries to its closest competitor RIM. Some of the interesting facts from the report are:

• Even though Apple iPhone is only in three countries now has 7% market share.
• Google’s Android initiative is still not visible on the global front.
• Apple is even though behind Nokia but ahead of many established players Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Palm.
• Among the mobile OS makers Symbian leads its way ahead of Microsoft
   

The mobile OS market is a must to watch with recent interest of Google eyeing it for growth.At present it is broken between as follows:

• Symbian way ahead at 65%
• Microsoft ( Windows Mobile ) at 12%
• RIM at 11%
